Frequently Asked Questions

Do your systems only work with central A/C?

We have two types of products. 1) The portable line can work in any environment and do not require central A/C. These are the suggested option for areas that have wall AC, split units or heat radiators. 2) HVAC units do require a central A/C system to operate.

Do the HVAC system only work with cold air?

No. Aroma360 can also be used with the fan or heat settings in the central air conditioning system. Warm air will give you a slightly stronger fragrance.

What is a cold air diffusing technology?

Cold air diffusion is the latest technology in the scenting industry. It works by using high amounts of cold filtered air combined with air pressure to diffuse oils into a dry mist of nano particles. This cold air diffusion technology is used in all Aroma360 diffusing systems and ensures consistent and subtle scenting.

How high should I set the intensity?

Suggested intensity should be between 25-35%. For a lighter intensity, we recommend 10-15%, and for a stronger intensity we recommend 60%.

What is the best location for your diffuser?

The key to effective scenting is down to choosing the primary point for the diffuser from which the essential oils will diffuse. Whether you are fragrancing a home or commercial premise, this generally means determining the most central location in the area you wish to be scented.

What is the difference between a standalone and HVAC diffuser?

A standalone unit can simply be plugged in and work from anywhere in reach of an outlet. An HVAC unit connects to your HVAC system in order to provide consistent and even coverage throughout an entire building. Our standalone units include the Mini360, DaVinci360 and our hybrid unit, the VanGogh360. The VanGogh360 can be used as stand-alone or be connected to your HVAC system. Our most powerful diffuser, the Museum360 can only be connected to the HVAC system and scents the largest area.

How HVAC scenting system works?

Aroma360 utilizes a new and innovative technology called Cold-Air Diffusion, which breaks down the oils into a dry mist of nanoparticles with the use of cold, filtered air. This dry fragrance mist is released into the HVAC ducts sending a consistent and even scent to the desired areas.

What kind of service/maintenance is required?

There is no service or maintenance needed for the HVAC units. Only requirement is to change the fragrance canister once empty.

Can I lay my unit on an angle or horizontal?

No. When the oil canister is inside the unit, they must always be in their upright position to prevent oil from damaging the inner mechanics of the unit.

For the HVAC units, do I need to have my AC running at all times?

In order for the system to work the fan must be on. During cool weather turn the fan of your central air conditioner to the ON position (as opposed to AUTO) to ensure the fragrance continues to circulate throughout your home.

What is Cold Air Diffusion

cold air diffuser is a device that disperses an aroma into the air through cold-air diffusion. This means the diffuser actively filters cold air from your space and then diffuses the oils into the air as an ultra-dry mist. Dispersing scent with cold air is the safest and cleanest way to fill a room with an aroma. The reason behind this is that cold air does not dilute the scented oils, disperse other unneeded substances into the air, or leave a residue.

What is the difference between a cold air diffuser and other diffusers?

Most other diffusers work by heating the essential oils and sometimes involve adding water to assist in the evaporation process. Essential oils are very delicate and volatile. When heated, their therapeutic benefits are destroyed. Furthermore, scents that are diffused through methods that involve heat do not disperse well in large areas nor does their scent last long as the molecules fall as they come in contact with the cool air.
